Thank you for choosing to join You Independent, below we will give you a better idea of who we are and how we can help you get the most out of our services.
Our business mentality starts with one principle: Stay Independent, Stay Artist.
Often the record market is not yet ready to discover new talents and new sounds, which is why we decided to make You Independent’s digital services available to artists and small and medium record labels.
We use an easy way to sell your music, bringing your releases to major online stores, but we also chose to give this chance only to the most deserving; the world is already full of bad music.
We have a dedicated scouting team that sifts through the site looking for interesting new talents to whom they can offer work and financial support
Our passionate staff, always goes in search of great talents, so we listen to all the releases on You Independent and select those that according to our editorial line can reach a wider audience.
If we think you have what it takes, we could offer you financial help and manage as best we can, marketing, promotion and maybe even some ideas to improve your music. After all, we are children of the Mhodì Music Company.
an independent record company that over the years with its brands has distinguished itself by investing in artists around the world.
To begin with, the key thing is that you make good music,
We often ask our artists a question: << What do you want to be when you grow up?>>
We at You Independent believe that music is a serious thing, it is a job in its own right where you must have perseverance, carry out continuous research and a lot of study.
After that, it would be imperative today, that you have a good social fanzine and that you daily cultivate your artist pages as well as the contacts with your fans, this in all honesty definitely helps to draw our attention to you!
Our promotion department likes to support the best music from our partners , creating customized playlists, which we promote weekly to our most trusted contacts,
Going from simple users to media and press contacts, also presenting where possible, the tracks to those responsible for synchronizations on film.
It is not essential, but it would be good to be registered with a collecting society, such as ASCAP, SESAC, SIAE, etc . to give you proper authorship and all related rights.
When you upload your tracks, there are a few things to consider in order for them to be accepted by the stores, we would personally prefer music that you own all the rights to and are the owner of.
In case you want to distribute certain types of music that include remixes , covers or tracks containing beats and samples , you will have to provide a license to our team, this is crucial to avoid any possibility of copyright infringement claims, trust us, it is no fun for anyone to incur legal complications from parties who will rightly claim their rights and see us forced to terminate your account.
Also remember that even free downloaded music bases around the web are no exception, so please submit your songs carefully.
We are honored that you thought so! after submitting your material and getting our approval, you will be able to re-upload the same tracks, but we recommend that you use the same UPC and ISRC codes so that you don’t lose the listens you have produced and give continuity to the versions already available. Below you will find a detailed guide, on how best to proceed, CLICK HERE to find out.

No, stores set their own prices, which may vary from country to country.
We send your release to the stores within 24 hours of payment, after which, it is up to each store to process it.
Times may vary from store to store. We recommend sending your album at least 2 weeks before the scheduled release date. This gives us enough time to process and deliver the tracks and to allow the services to store, index, and display the tracks on their sites.
We will inform you via dashboard if your publication has been delivered to the stores, but this does not mean that the store itself has been able to publish the tracks on its site (which is out of our control).
In fact, we recommend that you take longer margins to schedule your releases, even 40 days in advance, to submit your tracks to playlists… but we’ll get back to that later, when we can give you the right support.
We cover more than 90% of the world market, so we can safely say that your music will arrive all over the world.
